New York Jets Gameday Upfront Showcases Upcoming Delights

Football season is here. Across the nation fans are getting ready for an incredible upcoming year in sports. Yesterday at MetLife Stadium some of that joy was showcased during a delightful Gameday Upfront for The New York Jets.

The 2018/2019 season for the beloved east coast team is bringing out a whole new level of fantastic fun, delicious food and grand game day activities that will make fans of all ages smile with glee. Unique partnerships and programming will make this a year to remember at the stadium.

At the third annual upfront, attendees were treated to samples of a variety of upcoming offerings as they enjoyed tasting stations, photos with the team cheerleaders, personal caricature drawings by Akbar and fun partnership speeches by Def Jam, Marvel Comics and famed WWE wrestler The Miz.

Discussed were fall season calendar dates including Green Out (presented by Toyota) on October 21 that will feature activities with Marvel’s The Hulk vs. Thor, and WWE Kids Day on October 7. And, that is just a small amount of the great things The Jets will have to offer.

For the foodie there is a divine new menu and fantastic selections to be found throughout all stadium levels.

Some dishes that will certainly delight include scrumptious Fat Rooster Drummies with Butter Milk and Hot Sauce Brine, Seasoned Batter, Hot Honey or Homemade Honey Mustard Dressing; Bahbekyu Korean Pulled Pork Sandwich Carrot and Cabbage Pickled Slaw, Baguette; and Taco Roqueros amazing Tostadas with Tinga de Pollo, Barbacoa Beef, Pork Carnitas or Wild Mushroom Elotes Loco Spread, Cabbage Curtido, and Cotija Crema.

And, for the healthy eater there is a wonderful new menu at Petitie Greens & Grains. The fresh selects include plentiful selections such as Bay Kale Caesar Cremy Dressing, Parmesan, Whole Grain Croutons; and Farro Salad with Butternut Squash, Scallion, Cranberries, Lacinato Kale, Radish, Brussels Sprouts, Carrots.

For the second season, hot dogs and 12 oz. sodas will be offered half price at all Frank’s locations for Season Ticket Holders. All fans can purchase value items including: hot dogs, chips, and soda meal for $7; a turkey wrap and fruit for $7; value pretzel, soda or popcorn for $3; value water for $2 and $5 value beers at the Bud Light Beer Garden and various locations throughout the stadium

And, food enjoyment is just a small part of this over-the-top season of entertainment and sports.

The partnership with Def Jam Recordings is a unique collaboration focused on four things: football, music, content and the in-game experience. Def Jam artists will be highlighted in football-focused videos that will live on Jets social channels. Additionally, a video content series featuring Jets players and Def Jam artists will be created. This partnership will also feature Def Jam producing new, exclusive music, such as a Jets team introduction song that is going to be heard during all home games at MetLife Stadium.

Marvel’s partnership with the Jets will highlight a variety of Marvel-themed features for fans at MetLife Stadium this season, including a Hulk vs. Thor themed Green Out, presented by Toyota, against the Minnesota Vikings on October 21st. Upon entering the stadium on this day, the first 15,000 fans will have the opportunity to receive a limited Hulk-themed bobble head giveaway. The partnership will also feature the creation of two comic books; the first, a Hulk vs. Thor storyline, where a poster of the comic book cover will be given to all fans upon exiting the Vikings game.

The Jets will host Kids Day on October 7 when they take on the Broncos. During the game, WWE Legends and Superstars will be at the stadium making appearances. There will also be kid-focused programming throughout the game, such as GenJets Kids Fest, a kid reporter, youth football games at halftime, a WrestleMania 35 ticket giveaway and a video board featuring player’s favorite moments and a kids-cam during timeouts.

There is even a new wine offering. To honor the 50th Anniversary of this ranscendant moment, the Jets have partnered with fifth generation Napa Valley winemaker Joe Wagner, who has crafted the premium California Red Wine. Pre-sale begins August 23rd and will be available in stores the week of the first regular season game against the Lions on September 10.
