New York City Wine & Food Festival Is Back For Its 16th Year

The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF) is back for another year.  And this year marks the 16th year of NYCWFF coming to town.  With more than 80+ events and over 500 chefs from around the world, this is truly a food lover’s dream.  The events range from tastings, seminars, intimate dinner, and late-night parties – all taking place in locations around the city.  To add icing to this cake, NYCWFF will be sending 100& of the Festival’s net proceeds to support God’s Love We Deliver, NYC’s only provider of medically tailored meals and nutrition counseling for individuals with severe illnesses.

With all these events taking place, we wanted to highlight a few events we will be checking out and can guarantee a good time at:

  • In honor of Hip-Hop’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, the Festival’s official closing party will be a cookout MCed by Tamron Hall Emmy award-winning host of the Tamron Hall Show and Angela Yee from Power 105.1’s Way Up with Yee. Presented by Bacardi, guests can look forward to feature performances by DJ CASSIDYDJ MICK and 90s icons and Grammy award-winners Rev Run and Ice-T. The culinary offerings are curated by James Beard award winning chef JJ Johnson who has hand selected some of most talented Black chefs in New York to showcase their skills.

 

  • For the first time ever, NYCWFF will present Latin Nights on Harbor NYC Rooftop, a new venue on the Hudson River. The high-energy evening with Latin tunes from salsa to reggaeton will be curated by the masterminds behind the world-renowned Broken Shaker Gabe Orta and Elad Zvi of Bar Lab and 2023 North America’s Best Bartender Christine Wiseman. The trio has come together to hand select seven of NYC’s top Latin bartenders to make refreshing libations with enticing fusions of luscious, tropical fruits that will transport you straight to the Caribbean. Guests will enjoy a feast created by some of NYC’s most popular eateries that have shaped the Latin food scene in the City.

 

  • Also new to the Festival, The National Thoroughbred League and Forbes have teamed up with NYCWFF to create an evening both equestrian lovers and foodies can delight in. A Night at the Races hosted by Andrew Zimmern will take place at Meadowlands Racetrack and feature two competitions: Horses competing on the track and chefs in the kitchen for a walk around tasting and equine extravaganza.

 

  • Head to Williamsburg’s 74Wythe to sample the Best of Brooklyn hosted by Brian Lindo (@Briancantstopeating). Fan favorite Drag Brunch will once again be held at the Hard Rock Hotel New York as hosted by Lea DeLaria with special performances by RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Suntan Raja, Shangela and Symone.

 

  • Limited tickets are still available for select exclusive collaborative meals from some of the world’s most critically acclaimed chefs, which are paired with a variety of high-end wines and spirits from the Festival’s exclusive provider, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. Participating chefs and personalities include Markus Glocker, Daniel Rose, Dan Kluger, Michael Symon, Ayesha Nurdjaja, Dominique Crenn, Nick DiGiovanni and more.

 

  • Get ready for live culinary demonstrations from some of the most celebrated talent like Ally Love, Marcus Samuelsson, Alex Guarnaschelli, Kardea Brown, Robert Irvine, Andrew Zimmern, Scott Conant, Jet Tila, Jeff Mauro and more as part of Grand Tasting. The fan-favorite event makes its return to Hudson River Park’s Pier 76 where a sprawling 245,000 sq. ft. outdoor area will be transformed into a gastronomic wonderland showcasing hundreds of winemakers and distillers from the Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits portfolio. Those looking to learn from today’s top content creators about the latest trends and engage in thought-provoking discussions on the intersection of food, culture and tech should grab tickets to FoodieCon® presented by Instagram.

 

  • Pier 86Home of the Intrepid Museum will once again be home to the Festival’s signature pier parties such as:
    • Peroni’s Taste of Italy presented by Stella Italian Cheese hosted by Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabriele Bertaccini (Thursday, October 12)
    • Blue Moon Burger Bash presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats hosted by Rachael Ray (Friday, October 13) with judges Nadia Caterina Munno (The Pasta Queen),Dan Pelosi(GrossyPelosi) and Jessica Hirsch (CheatDayEats)
    • Tacos & Tequila hosted by the Cast of The Kitchen(Saturday, October 14)
    • Bacardi presents The Cookout: Hip-Hop’s 50th Anniversary Celebration featuring DJ CASSIDY, JJ Johnson, Rev Run, Ice-T, DJ MICK, Tamron Hall & Angela Yee(Sunday, October 15)
