New Music Roundup: Releases You May Have Missed

Another week, another weekend. We’ve got you covered with fresh tunes from Mery Racauchi, Moodshift, 4B, and more.

MERY RACAUCHI x TRINIDAD JAMES x LILY JANE – COOKIES & CREAM [VIP RECORDS]

Joining forces with Atlantla’s Trinidad James and talented vocalist Lily Jane, Argentinian sensation Mery Racauchi delivers a Spanglish pop/hip-pop treat. ‘Cookies & Cream’ marks Racauchi’s first release of the year, as well as her first venture into bubblegum pop territory. Fun fact: the lush collaboration kicked off when Racauchi met Trinidad James on the set of ‘Uncut Gems’.

4B x TRIPPIE REDD – GOING NOWHERE [ULTRA MUSIC]

Since debuting the record live two years ago, 4B and platinum-selling rapper Trippie Redd have finally unraveled this highly anticipated collaboration. Trippie’s versatile style of rapping blended elements of cloud rap, emo rap, and trap have granted him chart-topping singles and albums, making him a perfect suitor for this collaboration. Combining Trippie’s infectious toplines with 4B’s signature jersey-club sound, ‘Going Nowhere’ showcases Bobby’s best.

MOODSHIFT – CHEMISTRY

After several well-received mixes over the course of the last few months, Lucas Nord, Norwegian Grammy winner & Tove Lo collaborator, flyckt, previously of indie-pop outfit Urban Cone, and Oliver Nelson, Kygo collaborator, and highly revered remix mastermind, have revealed their first fully-fledged single under their newfound alias. Piano chords, a feel-good pop vibe, and melodic hums swirl in tandem, packing a punch and delivering a top-notch mid-summer jam.

SHOGUN – WALLS [SONY MUSIC]

DJ/producer Shogun has been on a hot streak this summer, releasing everything from trap remixes to catchy dance/pop grooves. With ‘Walls’, Shogun returns to his flagship trance sound that made him rise to the top of big-room trance’s finest. The track leads with a powerful crescendo of floor-filling synths that cascade into six minutes of pure energy.

TRANCE WAX – LIFELINE [ANJUNABEATS]

Belfast-based DJ and producer Garry McCartney – known to most as Trance Wax or by his acclaimed alias Ejeca – returns with another 90s nostalgia-ridden rave hit. ‘Lifeline’ follows an early-summer Anjunabeats EP release, Manaya, which marked the first-ever officially released set of Trance Wax productions. A renowned producer for years, Trance Wax has mostly lurked in the shadows occasionally coming out to tease fans with heavily sought-after productions. It’s looking like 2020 is the year he’s deciding to claim the spotlight – and it’s been a long time coming.
