Mexican Actress Sofia Castro Talks Her US Debut ‘SNAG’

Think Romeo and Juliet, but 2023.

“SNAG” follows an Australian lone wolf who’s world is shattered when he finds out the women he once loved and thought was dead is alive and held captive by ruthless gangsters. Starring Ben Milliken, Jeanette Aguilar Harris and Sofia Castro, Paramount’s new action blockbuster is coming to theaters soon.

We caught up with Sofia Castro, playing “Valentina”, for a short tease to the film.

The Knockturnal: Where would you say you drew your inspiration for you to play this character? For you to become ‘Valentina?’

Sofia Castro: It was a 2-month prep, actually <laugh> … to understand all the layers that Valentina has because of the environment that she lives in, about the relationship with her her mom, about the relationship obviously with Snag (Ben Milliken). So yeah, I took it really, really seriously and the first day that I went to set I was freaking out but after I started like playing a little with Ben, everything fell into place.

“Valentina is a strong, powerful, young character that’s going to fight for the love of her life,” Castro said. “You are going to have so much fun with her,” Castro added.

“SNAG” will be coming to theaters April 28th.
