Maybelline Hosts New York Pop-up to Launch New Eyeliner

Maybelline collaborated with British artist Shantell Martin to create a unique exhibit of the make-up brand’s new eyeliner, Master Precise Curvy.

To kick off the event, make up artists were there to showcase all of Maybelline’s products on the attendees.  The crowd packed into the downtown Manhattan location to grab some goodies and talk to the artist behind the whimsical lines surrounding them.

Artist Shantell Martin, who is an adjunct professor at NYU and a fellow at Columbia University’s Brown Institute for Media Innovation, is also set to release a new coloring book May 17.  She took some time to chat with Stacy London, who made an appearance at the pop-up.

Raul Otero, who’s worked as a makeup artist for 15 years, said his favorite Maybelline product was the Master Skinny.  The fine tip allows for precision and detailed work, but it can also be smudged for a smokey eye look.

Mariella Dawn swears by the Lasting Drama Gel Pencils saying, “Once it’s set, it stays.”  These come in an array of bright colors.  She also loves the Master Precise line because its so versatile, but also long lasting.
