Mara Hoffman Takes Fans to Morocco In New Resort Photos

Mara Hoffman unveiled photos of her new Resort Swim 2016 collection inspired by Morocco.

The new photographs take the viewer right to where Hoffman got the inspiration for her collection entitled A Moroccan Dream back in 2014: capitol city Marrakech. She was inspired by the city’s sensory impact with all of the food, textiles and landscapes. This led to a collection filled with several different patterns, silhouettes and a new color palette to try and capture that experience.

Model Melodie Vaxelaire poses in one of Hoffman’s new designs.

Photographer Olivia Malone shot the collection’s editorial images in several locations in the city getting a range of different looks to the photographs. They shot at Lahandira Carpets, a family run shop in the heart of the city as well as Riad Enija an over 200-year-old family palace. Model Melodie Vaxelaire was accompanied by  four camels, two horses and a neighboring shepherd and his herd of goats in some of the photos.

Hoffman also launched an Instagram account to go along with the collection @MaraDreamofMorocco. The profile is a mood board of everything that inspired the collection of swimwear. The new collection is now available on Hoffman’s website.
