I’m a no sabo. Me, Jennifer Lopez and Jenny Ortega. While I may not be fluent in Spanish, I know that mas es mejorar.
So when the famed Golden Road Brewing invited me to try Mango Cart Mas, I knew I’d like it. What I didn’t realize is I’d found my new favorite beer.
My first ever drink was a wheat beer in Fayetteville, Georgia twenty years ago, and since then I’ve been hooked, having ordered Mango Cart at many a rock show over the years.
While I love their classic formula, Mango Cart Mas packs a wallop, a robust 8% ABV in a refreshing, crisp package. Not only does it get you buzzing a bit faster, but it’s fruitier and perfect for a warm Los Angeles night.
When I arrived at Golden Road I was ready to give it a sip and dig into the smorgasbord of food they’d cooked up. I chowed down on wings and vegetables in rustic environs, learning about the craftsmanship behind this new amped up offering.
You’d think after winning the World Beer Cup this year, Golden Road Brewing would rest on their laurels, but instead they’ve upped the ante with a beer that’s sure to wow connoisseurs and casual drinkers alike.
I was lucky enough to get a tasting menu of sorts, downing the Michelada and spicy iterations of Mango Cart with an enthusiasm only someone taking a rideshare can muster.
The real mango balances the Michelada beautifully, and is a feast for the eyes. The second I brought this to my table, everyone sitting with me ordered one, too.
What can I say, I’m a thought leader.
Los Angeles is lucky to have Golden Road Brewing here, so if you’re local or visiting, come through one of their locations and take down a few Mango Carts and let us know what you think.
Mas es mejorar!
