On Tuesday, February 21st The Knockturnal received a very warm, and nostalgic welcome from the antique, and yummy cocktail bar, “Lost Spirits“ in lower Manhattan. Whether it’s after work, hosting a party, or just grabbing a quick bite, this tiered cocktail bar has everything you need, for anything you have planned ahead. So feel free to unwind, dine, or just have a good time!
From outside, the bar appeared to be very snug, and cozy. However, inside revealed a vintage spacious design, with dark wooden booths, stools, and tables. Golden pendant lights hung from the ceilings mimicking the glowing candles fixed on the table tops. Complementing each other perfectly, creating a pleasant, toasty glow. Although this bar was inspired by the prohibition era of the 1920s, the flat screen TVs, and music created a much appreciated modern touch to the atmosphere, without compromising the energy. Needless to say the interior was designed very strategically to recreate the historic 1920’s vibe without it being gimmicky or overdone in the slightest!
Another much appreciated plus was the food, and drinks. Satisfying for sure! The Spicy Chicken Slider Platter was mouth watering. Try the Grilled Dry Rub Wings and do not forget the sauce, along with the Lamb Lollipops, and Mac and cheese. The latter was my absolute favorite dish. Even the drinks were grilled and garnished to perfection. Fun fact: all the yummy morsels are supplied by locally sourced vendors.
Revive any cold or simmering evening with the enchanting, prestige of classic refreshing beers, cocktails, and comfort foods at Lost Spirits located at 11 W17th st. Manhattan NYC.
