The new decade is here and with the turning of the calendar pages will come happy days full of glorious parties.

Making that happen in the best fashion are luxury event planners Sean Koski and Brian Kelly with their successful company Ticket2Events.

In addition they have helped plan gifting suites at the BMI Hip-Hop and R&B awards, as well as The Grammy’s and Nolcha Fashion Week.

We recently sat down with the duo for interview to give insight into their illustrious portfolio:

The Knockturnal: What are the top three things that inspire you when putting together an event?

: The top three things that inspire us when putting together an event are the people who we’d want to come, attendees, the charity we’d want to support, or the purpose, and the memories we can create and capture through photography. Once the purpose of the production is set, it’s easy for us to identify who should be there to attend. Most people with the common interest in the purpose will want to be there. Sometimes the purpose of the party is actually just to party – however most events we produce include a philanthropic component. When we’ve established the purpose and guest list, the photography shot list starts to develop. With so many guests using their own phones to capture their memories it’s himportant for us to always include activations that encourage them to them to take a pic to remember this moment forever.

The Knockturnal: What is the best advice you ever shared with a client as producers to make it a perfect day?

Sean and Brian: As event producers, it’s important for us to always remind our clients that although this is their event, we’re here to make sure it becomes a place where they can enjoy too. When we’re producing evens with clients our favorite part is searching for them to remind them of a task they need to do. Watching someone who had been so obsessive about the outcome of an event actually enjoy it really makes us happy!
