Lil Yachty’s ‘Teenage Emotions’ is Out Now

Hip-hop’s newest black sheep is raising even more conversation now that the project is out.

Yachty’s new album has been the topic of conversation in the hip-hop world since his interview with Joe Budden on Complex’s Everyday Struggle became a huge meme in the twitter world. Now that the project is out, the rapper’s message of individuality and self expression is full blown and available for everyone to hear. There has been a ton of mixed reviews on the project, some people deeming it more pop than hip-hop. However, fans are praising the album, claiming that it is fire and worth the wait. It is a huge shift from his first mixtape Lil Boat, however the project still offers enough material to actually enjoy.

Teenage Emotions is available for streaming on iTunes and Spotify. The project is 21 tracks long and features Migos, Diplo, YG, Grace, Kamiyah, Stefflon Don, Evander Griim and Sonyae Elise. Yachty delivers his auto-tuned bars over a variety of different beats. It is evident that he worked with a handful of producers to create this cohesive project. Known for his melodies, Yachty tackles a variety of different topics and flows throughout the project. It is clear that the young rapper is experimenting with the genre and trying to find what works for him, and its going to be exciting to watch him grow into a star over the years. Here are two songs from the album, both with completely different flows, but still good songs.
