Last week Lil Yachty spoke at a panel of young entrepreneurs about his rise to success and how he utilizes the Samsung Galaxy Book.
Lil Yachty spoke on a panel of “Young CEOs” last week alongside APL founders Ryan and Adam Goldston and Players’ Tribune founder Jaymee Messler. Atlanta’s own Lil Yachty is only 2 years in the game, but has reached countless milestones of success. During the panel, Yachty discussed how he sought a creative path after coming to college and realizing that path wasn’t for him. From the success of “Minnesota” and “One Night” to Lil Boat to modeling in Yeezy season 3 to becoming a Nautica model and spokesperson, Yachty has achieved a lot in only 2 years at the age of 19. Obviously the youngest of the four panelists, it’s clear that Yachty was a littl shy at first, but slowly warmed up to the crowd and even started joking with the crowd. Yachty discussed how the Samsung Galaxy Book helps him create and innovate and how he hope to pursue more business ventures.At the end of the night Yachty performed tracks off of his debut studio album Teenage Emotions.
The three keys of knowledge Yachty dropped are:
- Maintain Relationships – “I maintained friendships and relationships not because I wanted anything from them or that I wanted them to check out my single – just for conversation and to stay real with people.”
- Use Your Moment – “I never expected my first song to go viral” Lil Yachty credits the power of social media to his rise to fame but says he never expected it to get the response it has. “Technology along with social media can bring your thoughts to life – it’s like you automatically get a push and think – something can happen here. The Samsung Galaxy Book is going to help with my ideas – it’s compact to take on the go and it’s colors are bursting off the screen.”
- Be True To Yourself – When Yachty decided to no longer pursue college, he shared that he didn’t have many in his court supporting him. “I knew I didn’t want to live a normal lifestyle. I didn’t want to be one of those people who went to college and spent the rest of my life paying it back.”
