The Knockturnal attended the premiere of HBO’s The Chair Company, held at the Hollywood Legion Theater in Los Angeles.
During the screening, attendees viewed the first two episodes of The Chair Company. The comedy-thriller follows William Ronald Tropser (Tim Robinson) as he becomes intertwined in a conspiracy after lodging a complaint with a chair company that failed him during an important moment in his corporate career.
In typical Robinson fashion, the show is an absurdist, hyper-fixated reality that stems from a mundane, embarrassing moment and erupts into a full-fledged obsession with something so random and hilarious that you can’t help but be deeply invested in the uncovering mystery.
A reception at the Hollywood Legion Theater immediately followed the screening, and guests mingled amongst passed hors d’oeuvres, activations, and themed cocktails.
Notable guests in attendance included Tim Robinson, Zach Kanin, Sam Richardson, Blake Anderson, Kate Berlant, Lake Bell, Marc Evan Jackson, Rose Abdoo, Aaron Schimberg, Will Price, Glo Tavarez, and many more.
The first episode is now available on HBO, with new episodes premiering every week until November 30th!
