Kyra Sedgwick discusses new show, ‘Ten Days in the Valley’ at Tribeca TV Festival

New York City’s inaugural Tribeca TV

Festival was in full swing this weekend, with new Fall TV previewing what’s to come to the small screen.

The Knockturnal was on the scene for the series premiere red carpet of ABC’s new series, “Ten Days in the Valley” starring Kyra Sedgwick. The show follows a single mother and television producer Jane, whose life is quickly turned upside down after her daughter goes missing in the middle of the night. Sedgwick, who takes on the leading role and doubles as an executive producer on the show, was on hand to discuss what really made the show’s story stick out to her, “I love the idea of playing a showrunner of a television show and there’s a little art imitating life, and there’s this great cast of characters. It’s not always true that you have lots of suspects in a situation, and lots of great actors playing these characters that happen to be suspects. The container of the show is a mystery and a thriller but the show itself is really a dive into these characters.” On  how she hopes audiences will react to the show Sedgwick explained, “I hope they have fun watching it but also I hope that they enjoy the deep dive that we go into the characters, and see themselves in some of them.”

Ten Days in the Valley premieres on ABC Sunday, October 1st at 10/9c.
