Kristen Taekman Talks Real Housewives And More At Room To Grow Benefit

Kristen is back!

The former Real Housewife of New York, Kristen Taekman, attended the Room to Grow annual spring benefit Thursday, April 14.  We got to talk to her about her thoughts on the newest season of The Real Housewives of New York along with what she’s doing with her personal life.  Check out our interview below.

Kristen Taekman:

Q:  So you’ve seen the first episode of the new season of The Real Housewives of New York.  Who are you rooting for so far?

A: Who am I rooting for?  Carole.  Always Carole.  I really love everybody.  I am not not rooting for anybody.  I think I am rooting for the new girl Jules.  I think they were a little hard on her right off the bat.

Q:  Have you met Jules before?

A:  No, I haven’t.

Q:  Any OMG moments that you saw from the first episode that you want to share?

A:  I think just the trailer for the future got me.  I was like oh my god.  All the drama.  Dorinda and her boyfriend, that seems like it’s going to unravel because I was waiting for that to unravel last season so…  it always takes a year.

Q:  And can you talk about watching the trailer and not seeing yourself in it?  How do you feel about that?

A:  I never really even thought about that.  I am just the kind of person that’s like grateful to have the opportunity and I knew it was never going to last forever and I think I move on as a better person.  It was like a club or sorority and I was happy to be a part of it for that small moment.

Q:  And your nail polish company Pop of Color is doing well.  Can you talk about that?  Are you extending the line?

A:  Yeah, we have 18 4 free and vegan nail polish and animal cruelty free.  I just launched six new colors for my spring line and I have liquid matte glosses which I am very excited about.  So I am looking to extend in other things as well.

Q:  And now shifting more towards this event, being a mother of two, can you talk about your connection with what this organization is doing?

A:  I always feel very grateful to have healthy and happy kids and to be able to provide for them.  And anybody in need, it is important to give back, especially people who are right in your own backyard.

Q:  To sum up, are there any other types of ventures you are doing currently or going to do?

A:  I have my blog, Last Night’s Look, which I am very passionate about and I have been having a great time with Last Night’s Look.  I have all of these fun things coming up.  I extended the travel section so we are doing a little LNL travels, so I have been to Miami, we are going to Vegas and I am going to try and find Elvis.
