The Latest On Kesha’s Lawsuit Against Dr. Luke & Adele Voices Support

Kesha says her producer manipulated her career and is hoping to be free from record contracts.

Singer/songwriter Kesha has filed as lawsuit against her very own record producer Dr. Luke. She claims that he had been sexually abusing her and she now wants to break out of contract. The lawsuit has been filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and apparently goes all the way back to when Kesha used to live in Nashville, Tennessee. The 28 year claims she was induced by Dr. Luke to drop out of high school and leave her life behind at the age of 18. The detail of the lawsuit shows how she signed up with Dr. Luke music production company in 2005 and unfortunately went under someone who’s “despicable conduct” included bragging about how much he enjoyed getting girls drunk and having sex with them. The details also said that he enjoyed blackmailing his pregnant wife into getting an abortion by not speaking to her for six months and threatening to leave her.

One of the most disturbing allegations revolved around sexual abuse. One in particular which stated how Dr. Luke allegedly forced her to snort illegal drugs and gave her “sober pills,” in which Kesha says were really a form of a date rape drug.

According to CNN, Dr. Luke has defended himself on Twitter stating “I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her. Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister.” He also stated that “It’s sad that she would turn a contract negotiation into something so horrendous and untrue.”
Dr. Luke (also known as Lukasz Gottwald) has completely denied all allegations in which he called them an extortion attempt by an artist unhappy with her career trajectory. Read more on that here.
Kesha is now receiving some support from stars and there is one in particular who made a huge impact and thats Adele. The British singer recently won an award for “Best British Female Solo Artist” on Wednesday nights BRIT AWARD and dedicated her trophy to Kesha.
“To the other nominees, it’s an honor to be standing amongst you. I’d like to thank my management and record label for embracing the fact that I’m a woman and being encouraged by it,” Adele started off her speech saying as she held up her award.
Adele got a bit chocked up as she added, “And I would like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha.”
