Kendall Miles Presents Fall/Winter 2017 Collection at Spring Place

Kendall Miles presented her fall/winter 2017 shoe collection on February 8th at Spring Place in New York City. The Chicago native is not your typical 22 year old. She just graduated from USC in May 2016, and 9 months later, she is presenting at New York Fashion Week.

Her first collection was in fall 2015 and it started out of her college apartment. No one could tell that Miles is just starting her career in the fashion industry. The shoes are made in Italy out of the most precious materials. The leather is extremely soft and polished and the fur trimmings are carefully placed in strategic locations of the shoe.

“A lot of the things I am still learning” claims Miles, who reached out to her mom for financial guidance of her business once she realized that creating a luxury footwear brand would be her next dream. It is clear that both worked extremely hard to understand the technical side of the industry, as well as understanding the women that would wear these shoes.

One of the styles is called “The CEO”. When we asked Miles about this style she said “It’s a chunky heel, it is comfortable, it is very fashionable and very sleek, perfect for the office, if you are a busy woman with meetings, if you have to hop on the train, you need a totally practical shoe.”

We couldn’t agree more. Miles has mastered the types of women, or better yet, she has identified the types of situation where her customers will use the appropriate kind of shoe. There is a perfect pair for “The CEO’s” single aspect of her life, whether it involves a chunky heel and a briefcase for a power lunch, or sleek stilettos for cocktails after a red-eye flight.

Kendall Miles’ collection can be found at Ikram in Chicago and on her website: https://www.kendallmilesdesigns.com .
