The Kasting: Meet Vitor Melo

We recently had the chance to sit down with model Vitor Melo of Soul Artist Management to discuss his roots, travel, food and of course the modeling. We’ve noticed him popping up in many editorials and runway shows especially this past fashion week and had to call him in to talk more about his experiences.

This week, I hosted a casting as I usually do for upcoming projects and the moment I saw Vitor, I knew right away that he had something special. Read our chat after the jump.

Where are you from?

I’m from Brazil.

Did you have a interest in modeling before your agents found you?

A little bit, but I didn’t know modeling was like this. For me, modeling was completely different. It’s a different world. It was much better than I expected. Yeah. Before, I think you come, you do one job and you are rich. Everyone thinks models are rich (laughter)

What’s been the most exciting thing about modeling for you?

The most exciting thing is travel. My favorite place is Milan. The food. The streets. It’s really small. And the architecture. It’s like really old and nice. I love it.

What’s been your favorite modeling job so far?

My favorite modeling job was my runway show for Givenchy.

What’s your go-to outfit for a go-see?

Normally, I put a classic white or black tee shirt and jeans or sometimes some ripped shorts. I love Adidas sneakers. Also a Nike fan and I love Valentino.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

This is a hard question. I’m thinking to be a cook. Yeah. I love to cook. My best dish is a sweet oatmeal. It’s oatmeal with flour. It’s oatmeal with peaches around and little bit of cream of chocolate in the middle.
