Jia Liu’s Newest Line for NYFW 2018

At this year’s New York Fashion Week, the runway was not just for the adults.

In Jia Liu’s newest collection for NYFW, parents and children of all ages were in attendance for the collection.

Models ranging in ages from toddlers to adults were clothed in Liu’s newest collection. Her pieces incorporated fun and playful graphics onto original pieces by the designer. With the trendy silhouettes of 2017, Liu merged some of the hottest designs built for both the parent and the child.

Based around “The Emoji Movie”, Jia Liu’s runway was a smooth cohesion of childish fun with the maturation of a seasoned pro. The soft innocence translated from the runway into your closet, as models young and old walked the runway.

The Chinese designer took the over-emphasized graphics of air-bubbles and emoji’s to create a collection that evokes the spirit of childlike humor within a sophisticated collection. As each model walks the runway, written across many pieces throughout the collection were references to the ancient proverb, “hear nothing, say nothing”. Her use of the infamous monkeys created the connection of old-world-meets-new-world fashion.

Jia Liu’s newest runway assortment of pieces spoke to the soft innocence incapsulated within one singular collection. Everyone can enjoy the fun and light-hearted energy of Liu’s latest creations.
