Jessica Alba & More Attend Empathy Rocks Gala

‘Empathy Rocks’ is the 8th edition of the event profiting Children Mending Hearts and Vintage Grocers

Children Mending Hearts CEO Lysa Heslov and Executive Director Lainie Strouse kicked off the presentation to welcome guests to a private home in Beverly Hills. The event celebrated two Superwomen of Los Angeles, honorees Rachel Zoe and Irena Medavoy for over-arching dedication, hard work and commitment with the organization. Close friend Jessica Alba presented Zoe with The Children Mending Hearts Humanitarian Award while Nicole Avant presented the Ambassador of Peace Award to Medavoy.

Other talent attendees included Kat Graham, Rowan Blanchard, soon-to-be mother Ali Fedotowsky and fiancé Ryan Morrow, Jeanette McCurdy, Lydia Hearst, Garcelle Beauvais & family, Tammin Sursok and husband Sean McEwen, Torrance Coombs, Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos and more.

The afternoon family event was packed full with interactive games, activities, music, food, and summer fun for everyone. Some including delicious bites from the title sponsor Vintage Grocers, apparel from Michael Stars, hands on tutorials from the new2017 Chrysler Pacifica, Styling with Matrix StyleLink Celebrity Stylist Nick Stenson, as well as a variety of other kids activities and treats from Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sababa, Participant Media, CAA, Tasty Brand, NBC Universal and Price Waterhouse Cooper.

Guests shopped for a cause with 100% of proceeds from the event going straight to support during and after school programs for youth throughout Los Angeles.
