The psychological thriller, “Homecoming” returns for a second season with even more mystery, plot twists and captivating performances by the talented cast.
Many have referred to the Amazon Prime Video show as the “Julia Roberts’” show however, this season Julia Roberts will not be reprising her role as Homecoming facility therapist. Instead, we are introduced to a mysterious character played by Homecoming newcomer, Janelle Monáe.
Monáe’s character wakes up in a rowboat in the middle of a lake with no recollection of how she arrived there, who did this to her or even what her name is. Viewers will be taken on a journey of discovery alongside the clueless lead and we just might stumble upon a truth that is hard to bear. “This particular season is a lot; the stakes are higher. We anted up on the action, on the mystery, on the plot twists,” states Monáe. Her character will come in contact with season 1’s Walter Cruz [Stephan James], recovering amnesiac and Audrey Temple [Hong Chau] who suddenly climbs Geist’s corporate ladder to be of a high level of importance.
The Knockturnal was able to catch up with Janelle Monáe and Stephan James for an exclusive interview as they discuss what’s in store for their characters this season, dream roles, what they have been doing to stay sane during these unpredictable times and so much more. Check it out above!
Homecoming premieres on May 22 on Amazon.
