Inside the Annual ‘Influencers Brunch’

This was a brunch that offered more than all you can drink mimosas. At the annual “Influencers Brunch” enlightenment was served with a side of power.

On the day before the Oscars, Tarek “Terk” Stevens, Anthony Anderson and Chris Spencer held their annual Los Angeles eventt at the SLS Hotel. Featuring an in-depth conversation with Ralph Farquhar, Mona Scott Young, MC Lyte and DJ Dnice, the event celebrated Hip Hop’s influence on Hollywood and urban culture.

Gracing the carpet at the top of the morning were MC Lyte, DJ Dnice, Mona Scott Young, Ralph Farquhar, Al B Sure, Columbus Short, Affion Crockett, Ben Crump, Daymond John, Maxim Fields, Judi Johnson, Derrick King, Christine Simmons, and Claire Sulmers.

The colorful brunch provided in-depth insight into the world’s most thought-provoking ideas all while make in the momentous morning joyful and full of laughs as provided by the proud hosts. Highlights of the event included MC Lyte reflecting on her impact and the journey of her success as one of the most legendary female rappers of all time while emphasizing the power of the female voice; while Mona Scott Young broke down her transition of being an artist manager to becoming one of the most powerful and influential women in the television industry.

DJ Dnice also graced the panel, reflecting on the most epic virtual dance party, “Club Quarantine,” as he brought joy and hope to us all during  2020. And special moment was showcased when veteran Hollywood TV Producer, Ralph Farquhar spoke about his passion for representing the voice and perspectives of Black people, indigenous people and people of color.
