There’s way more to NYFW than just the runway shows. While the runway shows are one of the most important parts of NYFW, they’re not the only NYFW activity that brings the crowds.
This past season had some major celebrity sightings all week, exciting events insta-worthy photo booths, and “NYFW The Talks” with some of the most notable designers and fashion icons.

Day one of NYFW kicked off with some major events! This NYFW Afterpay sponsored the “Art Of Rodarte” exhibition as well has presented NYFW: The Talks with Rodarte designers Kate & Laura Mulleavy. The Art of Rodarte talks was moderated by HBO ‘Euphoria’ star Maude Apatow in front of a live crowd where Kate and Laura shared insights into their journey creating the now-iconic brand, ‘Rodarte’.

The day continued with the 11 Honoré NYFW presentation and cocktail party in the Spring Studios restaurant presented by Afterpay. 11 Honoré set the tone for NYFW with their incredibly inclusive runway presentation and cocktail party. Their return to runway since their last NYFW show in Fall 2019, showcased their in-house brand designed by their design director, Danielle Williams-Eke. “Lately, I’ve been so inspired by print, and we’ve been working with an incredible textile designer who has been able to bring our ideas to life. You see color and—bright pink skirts, dresses in shades of tangerine—throughout the collection.” Danielle shared with Vogue. The 11 Honoré runway featured model Candice Huffine with Nicolette Mason, Grievy Lou, and Fern Mallis in attendance.
Also celebrating the first day of NYFW with a spectacular event was the celebrity loved Yoga and Wellness brand Alo Yoga.

Also celebrating the first day of NYFW with a spectacular event was the celebrity loved Yoga and Wellness brand Alo Yoga. The Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand, Alo Yoga, saw fit to celebrate their continued partnership with NYFW with a cocktail party at their Flatiron NY location. The celebration was packed with celebs and influencers like Amy Julliette Lefevre, Joy Corrigan, Tyler Cameron, and more. Guests were sipped on a rendition of NYC’s staple drink, espresso martini shots by Casamigos. Attendees also enjoyed catered hors d’oeuvres curated by Matthew Kenney Cuisine.

Day One of NYFW ended with the celebration and opening of ‘The Art of Rodarte’ exhibition that was sponsored by Afterpay. The exciting celebration brought out a crowd of celebrities and fans of the iconic American fashion brand. In attendance at the exhibition opening night were Maude Apatow, Maye Musk, Jack and Josie Dupont, and more. The event alongside ‘The Art of Rodarte exhibition which was set at Spring Studios took the place of an NYFW runway show. ‘The Art of Rodarte’ exhibition highlighted some of the brand’s greatest moments like an illustration of the crown worn by Natalie Portman in the 2010 film “Black Swan”.

Meanwhile, over at Spring Studios, this year NYFW sponsors did not disappoint in making Spring Studio’s lobby an exciting place to relax in between shows and even get some fun insta-worthy content. For NYFW FW22 alongside Afterpay, Lovesac, UPS, and Alo Yoga had tons of exciting things to offer NYFW attendees at Spring Studios. While walking through the Spring Studios lobby attendees were able to check Lovesac’s “cloud-like comfort” for themselves.“I am thrilled about our debut at New York Fashion Week as an official sponsor where we can not only showcase, but also acknowledge the world’s most creative designers at America’s most critical fashion industry event,” said Shawn Nelson, Lovesac CEO, and Founder. “We’re excited to offer the audience an opportunity to experience cloud-like comfort in an elevated setting that brings the feeling of sitting in a Sac to life.” Of course, there was a cute photo moment to accompany the Lovesac showcase.
Afterpay sponsored a small but adorable pop-up shop for Rodarte, where attendees had a chance to shop some of Rodarte’s comfy athleisure sets. If you weren’t shopping you could sit down, relax, and enjoy a latte from Bluestone lane in their café. Also in the morning was NYFW: The Talks New Standards of Beauty,” a conversation moderator by Jae Joseph featuring Christella De Castro (Director & Photographer, Co-Founder of Ground Work), Patrick Starr (Beauty Guru & One/Size Founder), Drew Elliott (SVP & Global Creative Director, MAC Cosmetics), Aweng Ade-Choul (International Model) about historical, cultural, and social contexts of beauty, and modern awareness and acceptance within the industry.

Day two of NYFW ended with a celebration with Pat Bo x TRESemmé at Zero Bond. Guest like Joy Corrigan, Carrie Berk, and Megan Puleri danced to the DJ styling of Mei Kwok and enjoyed specialty cocktails by Cincoro tequila.
