Hoegaarden’s Pop-Up Garden Event in Williamsburg Was A Beer Lover’s Dream

Hoegaarden hosted a spectacular garden wonderland this past Tuesday at the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg.

Upon entry, guests were welcomed with free gifts. Everyone received a Hoegaarden tote bag and a personally engraved souvenir glass. Waiters greeted guests and handed everyone fresh glasses of beer served from the draft. Scattered around the venue were buckets of bottled Hoegaarden beer and bottle openers for the guests to take home.

Alongside all of the beer was a huge arrangement of edible garden plants for the guests to try. All of the plants were grown locally on a farm in Tribeca. Different types of Cilantro, basil and other types of edible herbs were available for taste testing with the beer. On each table was a different arrangement for everyone to try with their food. On the menu were chicken sandwich sliders, garlic fries, cauliflower poppers and an arrangement of various meats and cheeses.

There was jam making on site at the event, and guests were able to try the Hoegaarden beer inside jars that were filled with strawberry jam. The added jam was a sweet plus to the already tasty beer and it was nice to be able to take the freshly made jam home.
