H&M Opens 500th U.S. Store With Special Guest Jamie King

Today, H&M celebrated the opening of their 500 North American location. 

The new store located in Miami’s Dolphin Mall opened on Dec. 10 at noon with special guest Jamie King in attendance. The H&M store includes the fast-fashion women’s clothes it’s known for as well as their lines for men, young men and ladies, accessories, lingerie, beauty and their children’s collection.

The first 500 shoppers at the new store were treated to an H&M tee shirt and an Access to Fashion Pass valued from $10 to $500. Shoppers were also treated to giveaways and special offers as well as a chance to win a meet and greet with King.

To go along with the opening H&M is launching their recycling program there as well. Before the store opens customers will be able to bring in clothes to be recycled. Those who do will be entered to win an H&M gift card valued from $50 to $250.

In a statement King said, “Their global garment recycling program is unparalleled and has my heart. This is such an important and innovative initiative. I am thrilled to be part of this.” Since the company’s initiative began in 2013 they’ve collected 50 lbs of clothing. They’re working towards their ultimate goal of of finding a solution to reusing and recycling all textile fibers.
