The People’s Choice awards are always fun to watch but also a great place to get some glam inspiration for all the upcoming holiday events. Thanks to Tresemmé and celebrity stylists Ryan Richman, and Justine Marjan we’ve got the breakdown on how to have the most gorgeous hair, from right off the People’s Choice Awards red carpet this holiday season.
For Addison Rae, Ryan Richman created a beautiful and romantic style half-up, half-down look using quite of few of TRESemmés products. While the look was stunning and perfect for Addison’s red carpet appearance, it’s also a very simple style that’ll add a touch of elegance to any holiday look. “Addison is wearing a pink vintage Betsey Johnson dress with floral embroidery and beading and a burgundy choker. I wanted the hair to be back off of her shoulders, so we went with a romantic, tousled half updo.” – Ryan Richman
Dorit Kemsley’s look was a little more glam-rock. Justine Marjan gave Dorit these soft gorgeous, and voluminous waves that are totally achievable with the right TRESemmé products. You can almost never go wrong with some soft waves; they’re always in season and can be worn for any occasion.“Dorit is wearing an incredible vintage cut-out dress, so we wanted to do a hairstyle that didn’t compete with it. We opted for soft, fluffy, brushed out waves for a glamorous rock and roll feel that’s still effortlessly cool.” – Justine Marjan,

Ryan Richman styling Addison Rae’s hair using TRESemmé’s dry texture finishing spray
First, I prepped damp hair with TRES TWO Extra Hold Mousse focusing at the root for maximum volume and hold throughout the style. I then blew the hair dry using my Sultra Bombshell Collection Volumizing Hairdryer with the concentrator nozzle attached and a medium-sized round brush.
Pro Tip – Use the concentrator nozzle to direct heat at the root while lifting the hair directly off the scalp with your brush for maximum body.
I then used my ANHxSULTRA 1.25” Curling Iron and wrapped one-inch sections of hair around the barrel.
Pro Tip – Twist the hair as you wrap it around the barrel for a soft, smooth, and bouncy wave.
After I curled the hair, I used my fingers to break apart the curls and sprayed a generous amount of TRESemmé Dry Texture Finishing Spray throughout, from roots to ends, to achieve a windswept feel and add extra body.
To complete the look, I braided a small section of hair in front of Addison’s ears on each side and connected them at the back of the head for a romantic half-up look, and secured it with bobby pins.
Justine Marjan styling Dorit Kemsley’s hair using TRESemmé’s dry texture finishing spray
To begin, I prepped damp hair with TRESemmé Volume Thickening Spray from roots to ends, then blew it dry with the ghd helios hairdryer($249) to create a bouncy blowout.
Using the ghd platinum+ styler ($249) on 2” sections of her hair, I glided the styler down the length of the hair, letting it wrap around the rounded edges to add a curl.
Next, I sprayed TRESemmé Dry Texture Finishing Spray throughout as the hair was cooling to add body, volume, and a bit of hold.
Once curled, brush throughout the hair, back brushing slightly to add volume.
Finish the looks by spraying TRES TWO Extra Hold Hairspray all over to keep flyaways at bay and the look in place all night.
