HEINZ Releases 3 New Globally-Inspired Sauces For Their Flavor Tour Line

The HEINZ brand is best known for its classic condiments like ketchup and mustard. However, the beloved brand stepped out of the box with its new Flavor Tour line, featuring three unique condiments; Mexican Inspired Street Corn, Korean Inspired Sweet & Tangy BBQ and Thai Inspired Sweet Chili.

On Feb. 25, HEINZ celebrated the new line with an exclusive first-look food event featuring cocktails and bites inspired by the sauces. The event took diners on a food journey, highlighting vibrant and lively flavors like gochujang, chipotle and ginger.

The signature cocktails included the Yuzu-Gochujang Margarita, Basil-Gin Tom Collins and Elote Old Fashioned. The event had three different food stations, each inspired by one of the new flavors.

The Korean Inspired Sweet & Tangy BBQ sauce is reminiscent of a classic barbecue sauce, with a delightful gochujang twist. This sauce was served with beef short rib and pork belly lettuce wraps, complete with kimchi and coleslaw. Lettuce and slaw balanced out the meats’ heavier flavors and the kimchi’s acidic crunch, with the sauce adding a sweet finish to the hearty dish. The beef short rib was a standout, and its condiment pairing enhanced its flavor.

The Thai Inspired Sweet Chili sauce food station encouraged attendees to build poke bowls, with options like raw tuna and salmon, edamame, seaweed salad and avocado. The fish was fresh, working perfectly with the tangy ginger undertones of the thick sweet chili sauce.

Finally, the Mexican Inspired Street Corn sauce was paired with fish tacos consisting of tender, flaky fish and warm corn tortillas. There were many toppings, like pickled onions and corn salsa, but the standout was the sauce itself. It’s addictingly creamy, spicy and smokey with a bright hint of lime.

The event had a variety of finger foods, like vegetable spring rolls and beef sliders. However, the standout was the elote grilled cheese bites. Complete with sweet corn kernels and melty cheese, the bite was enhanced by the chipotle seasonings in the Mexican Inspired Street Corn sauce.
