Grungy Gentleman F/W ’18 Runway NYFW

For the eighth year running, Jace Lipstein, founder, and designer of label Grungy Gentleman has showcased his Fall-Winter ’18 capsule collection at New York Fashion Week. Shying away from his usual sportswear aesthetic, Lipstein instead chose an array of creative collaborations which rebel against the tradition sportswear look he’s become known for.

The collection is an experimental approach to fashion, boasting muted colors, jerseys, polo tees and combining formal and casual looks. Clean cut blazers, paired with sporty pants and the brands staple 6 pieces stripe were incorporated throughout.

Grungy Gentleman x Timberland footwear saw models thumping down the runway in kicks that bridged the gap between comfort and style. Another notable collaboration was with local New York artist Gazoo To The Moon, whose signature was blazed into the clothing in a smooth way which complemented the designs.

The company goes beyond that of a traditional fashion label, doubling as a creative agency which consults and merges fashion, entertainment, and sport into one big melting pot. Grungy Gentleman’s new offerings to the fashion world incorporating elements of surprise, cultural variety, and applied creativity. The result was a ready to wear collection which could be walked right off the runway.
