Future Releases Song Inspired by ‘Creed’

Hip-Hop artist Future announced his new song “Last Breath” is inspired by the new Rocky franchise movie Creed. 

Future spoke with the cast and crew including Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson and Ryan Coogler, writer and director of the movie on BET’s Facebook page. Speaking about the the movie Future said:

“I can relate to the movie.  Just being self-driven, always having that drive from the beginning, just having something in you that’s great.  But you also have to work until those moments come, and when those moments come you wanna be prepared.”

The cast and Coogler all expressed an appreciated the song created from their work on the movie. Future also released a remix of the original Rocky theme song. Both “Last Breath” and the remix are available to stream on Soundcloud.

The new addition to the franchise follows the son of Apollo Creed, played by Jordan, as he makes his way in boxing. Stallone returns as Rocky to train Adonis Johnson due to a promise he made his father, former best friend and rival. Coogler and Aaron Covington wrote the screenplay for the film. This is the seventh movie in the series. The film opens nationwide in theaters on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
