Fandemic Tour attendees got the chance to witness Paola Lazaro and Michael James Shaw on the stage for the first time.

These two had a panel at Fandemic Tour where they answered fan questions. This one was highly anticipated as it’s the first time these two stars of The Walking Dead had an in-person panel. On the show, The Princess and Mercer meet at The Commonwealth. Mercer even asked Princess to be his special guest during a party that was Governer Pamela Milton hosted. On the subject of their relationship name, both Paola and Michael said that their official name is “Princer.”

The Best Cosplay at Fandemic Tour

Paola Lazaro loves her fans. It shows during the Fandemic Tour weekend as she had on Princess’ jacket the majority of the time. Paola said at the Fandemic Tour Panel along with the topic of mental health: “When I get fans who come up to me and say thank you for the episode Splinter because you spoke about things that i’ve gone through, it gets me emotional. It’s a huge blessing and it feels like every obstacle that i had in my life brought me to this moment to be able to somehow inspire others and to make them feel less alone by talking about these topics and representing this character the way i do.” For reference, Splinter was the episode where we learn more about The Princess’ backstory and how her mental health affects her.

Fandemic Tour Is The Convention That Reunited The Walking Dead’s Fandom!

Michael James Shaw discovered Jiu jitsu during the pandemic. “I’ve always wanted to take some martial arts. i think jiu jitsu is a bit opposite. It’s about being in a compromising position and remaining calm. It’s kind of just taught me to lay back and not panic. It kind of infiltrates through a lot of parts of my life.” Since Mercer is the head of security of The Commonwealth, his combat skills must be high caliber.

They both also talked about auditioning for The Walking Dead, who they would bring into the real zombie apocalypse, and much more. You can watch the full Fandemic Tour panel here. Credit to Fandom Spotlite for recording the panel.
