Restaurant Review: Lunch At Extra Virgin

Hot days in NYC are anything but the inspired life Sex in the City promised, but tucked away in the West Village sits a sidewalk treasure that is great for an afternoon lunch date.

Extra Virgin located on 259 West 4th Street, has tables cozying up to its glass windows and adorning a quiet streets that is perfect for conversation. On a 92-degree day there’s nothing desired less than soup, but here, their chilled red and yellow tomato gazpacho is everything you never thought you needed. Their inspired mini lobster rolls and chopped summer salad with watermelon and feta provide the perfect solace to wakeup and refresh during this hot summer. This Mediterranean restaurant offers brunch, lunch, dinner and adorable “after brunch” and “after lunch” menus. Perfect for a second date spot, this adorable front offers the comfort, excitement and ability to reenergize through its delicious choices.

To start: All cocktails are delicious and this bar is open until 2 am on Friday and Saturday.

To finish: Warm flourless chocolate cake or white chocolate macadamia blondie sundae. Never go without dessert.

And did I add, Penn Badgley in all his handsome modesty sat no further than five feet at the table next to me.
