Exclusive: The Cast of ‘Big Shot’ Talk New Disney+ Series Featuring John Stamos [Video]

Have Mercy! “Full House” star John Stamos is taking his acting skills to the basketball court in the new Disney+ series “Big Shot.”

In his new role, Stamos plays a temperamental coach, who takes a job at an all-girls private high school after getting kicked out of the NCAA.

Despite Stamos’ character, Marvyn Korn, being completely out of his element, he is given a second chance to become a better coach in this heartwarming series. In the David E. Kelley dramedy, Coach Korn learns to grow and evolve into a greater individual, while the teenage girls also empower one another as a team, both on and off the court.

“The Knockturnal” had a chance to exclusively sit down with the female lead opposite of John Stamos, Jessalyn Gislig, and Sophia Mitri Schloss, Coach Korn’s daughter, along with the team players, Nell Verlaque, Monique Green, Tiana Le, Tisha Custodio, and Cricket Wampler.

Gislig’s character, assistant Coach Holly, tells “The Knockturnal,” working with Stamos is “exactly what you think it would be.”

“He is hilarious, he is generous, he is creative, he is enthusiastic, and he is tireless. The guy has so much energy, you cannot let yourself appear to be tired at any time because you would look so weak beside him,” she joked. “He’s so good to the crew, he’s so good to the girls, he’s incredibly kind to me. I want to tell you something bad about him, but there’s nothing.”

“Big Shot” is available to stream on Disney+ Friday, April 16th.
