Exclusive: NBC’s “This Is Us” star Jon Huertas discusses the show’s final chapter & why representation is “about quality”

Since 2016, NBC’s award-winning series “This Is Us” has taken its viewers into the lives of the Pearson parents, Jack (Milo Ventimiglia), Rebecca (Mandy Moore), and their star-studded children.

The tear-jerking TV drama spans decades and centers the viewpoints of its triplets, Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz), and Randall (Sterling K. Brown). From The Big Three‘s humorous 1980 conception during Super Bowl XIV — to their household transitioning into a more blended lifestyle — the show’s plot twists emphasize how the tiniest events have the potential to impact who we become.

In 2022, the “This Is Us” final season is scripted to be its most exciting and inclusive yet. Alongside Miguel (Jon Huertas), the sixth installment will better exhibit what the world looks like for all cultural backgrounds today. Press play on The Knockturnal’s sit-down interview with the multi-hyphenate and hear what he learned while filming ahead of the season’s NBC premiere, tonight.
