Exclusive: Marnee Carpenter Talks New CBS Series ‘Clarice’ [Video]

Through many remakes and spin-offs of the iconic 1991 horror film “The Silence of the Lambs,” we have heard the men’s side of the story over and over again. In the all-new series “Clarice,” it’s time for the women to speak up.

Occurring about a year after the events of the original film, the series is focused around FBI Agent Clarice Starling as she returns to the field in 1993. The show tells the untold story of her personal life and how she delves back into the field after the traumatic events. Strong-willed and incredibly dedicated to her craft, we are offered a firsthand view of Clarice’s determination and bravery. We see her innate ability to analyze complicated situations.

However, this isn’t where Clarice’s story stops. We also gain insight into how she dominates and overcomes challenges in a field full of men, and how she proves her worth to both herself and others. We see Clarice’s story, as well as Catherine Martin, Buffalo Bill’s victim in the film. Marnee Carpenter plays this role flawlessly, as we see her work through her trauma, and as Marnee says, “tries to exist again.” We sat down with Marnee to talk all about her new project. Check it out!
