‘The Resident’ Season 4 focuses on a period yet unexplored in television: Post-Pandemic. We sat down with Manish Dayal to discuss his character’s unique journey this season, and much more.

Manish Dayal stars in FOX’s hit medical drama as Dr. Devon Pravesh, a young doctor reeling from a devastating loss due to COVID-19 at the start of season 4. The Resident is renowned for highlighting some of the systemic issues rampant in American hospitals, through the eyes of Dayal’s idealistic character. While discussing the upcoming season, he touches on filming during a pandemic, the importance of exposing the inequalities in the healthcare system in light of COVID-19, and the process of portraying loss and emotional trauma.
