Exclusive: Lil Yachty Talks Charmin Crap Battle, Signing DC2Trill and New Music with SoFaygo

Today Yachty joins us to discuss his participation in Charmin’s Crap Battle, a rapping competition that challenges artists to freestyle about the brand while talking smack. The competitors include Lil Yachty, Rico Nasty, and Lil Dicky. Starting June 14th fans can head to Charmin’s Instagram to vote for their favorite freestyle and winners will be announced on June 16th.

In addition to the Crap Battle, Yachty also discussed his plans for the summer which includes playing festivals like Rolling Loud and more drops from his unisex nail polish brand Crete.  Not only has Yachty been working on his own business he’s also started investing in other companies like dating app The Lox Club. Yachty discusses how he got involved in the business venture and how he’s also transitioned into the business side of music by signing his own artists. Yachty shares that’ he’s been working with his latest signee DC2Trill on his rollout and is enjoying the creative process. Fans can also expect a Yachty collaboration this summer with one of today’s hottest rising rappers. Find out what else Yachty had to say in our full interview below.

 

The Knockturnal: Can you tell us about the Charmin Crap battle and how you got involved?

The Knockturnal: I understand that the crap battle had you freestyle, do you prefer freestyling or writing out your music?
