Kylie Cantrall released her new single called Texts Go Green on August 16th.
The development for the song began from a TikTok challenge she created for herself called 10-minute songs, where Cantrall’s followers give her three words to construct a hook, verse, or chorus using the words provided. This series has grown since beginning nearly a year ago, and her social media platforms are saturated with fans suggesting words they hope she will incorporate into a song. Each song created in the series highlights her creativity and talent as an artist as she intertwines each word with a melody that stems from a variety of concepts.
Cantrall is a multi-talented artist excelling in songwriting, music, and acting. She will star in Season 4 of the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical, where she plays the role of Dani, inspired by the iconic role of Sharpay played by Ashley Tisdale. The Knockturnal spoke with Cantrall about her newly released single and the concept behind the song. She also discussed her songwriting process and what she hopes fans will take away from the song Texts Go Green.
