June 22 marked opening night of the imaginative and new musical that is dazzling Broadway’s Marquis Theatre.
Once Upon A One More Time presents the iconic fairytale characters that society knows and loves in a fashion that the world has never seen before. Cinderella, Snow White, Prince Charming, and the like are all present and accounted for, but in this show, their stories are all new.
As the heroines grow tired and bored of living their same tales over and over again, they start to wonder if there is more to life than what their stories have led them to believe. When an eccentric fairy godmother presents the princesses with a copy of The Feminine Mystique, everything changes. Set in a world of chart-topping Britney Spears hits, Once Upon A One More Time offers a fresh, fun, and fantastical new perspective on what happens in between “once upon a time” and “happily ever after.”
Complete with a sensational cast both on stage and off, Once Upon A One More Time is led by Briga Heelan as Cinderella, Justin Guarini as Prince Charming, Jennifer Simard as the Stepmother, Adam Godley as the Narrator, Brooke Dillman as O.F.G., and Aisha Jackson as Snow White. Off stage, Keone and Mari Madrid excel as the musical’s directors and choreographers.
It’s “the best party on Broadway,” Guarini said of the show.
