Exclusive: Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, and more Talks The Walking Dead: Dead City at Tribeca

The cast of The Walking Dead: Dead City arrived at the Tribeca Film Festival this week for the world premier.

It was quite fitting for Dead City to debut in New York City as the series takes place in that city. In Dead City, Negan and Maggie must team up in order to rescue her son, Hershel from the ones who kidnapped her. During this journey, the two will be put in unlikely situations as they have to work together to get their goals accomplished. Meanwhile, Negan is a wanted man and Perlie Armstrong is doing everything to bring him in.

Gaius Charles and Eljko Ivanek are also featured in the series. The Walking Dead Universe chief content officer Scott M. Gimple oversees the series as show runner and executive producer, with Eli Jorné serving as showrunner and executive producer.

In addition, AMC partnered with several local restaurants in New York City to bring Dead City themed activations, food, and walkers to these iconic locations this week. Although the financial agreement was not disclosed, it gave the locations a great boost in awareness all over social media.

At the festival, we caught up with cast members Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, the two of which are also executive producers, Gaius Charles, along with Hilarie Burton Morgan, who played Negan’s wife Lucille on The Walking Dead’s episode “Here’s Negan” as we talked about Dead City! After this, fans were treated to the first two episodes of Dead City along with a panel that took place with the cast.
