Exclusive: Jack Dylan Grazer Talks Manifesting HBO Role & Partnership W/ Bones Love Milk Campaign [Video]

IT star Jack Dylan Grazer is quickly becoming an “It boy young actor.” With roles in the popular IT horror movies, DC Comics superhero film Shazam!, and now HBO’s We Are Who We Are, Grazer sure is solidifying and manifesting his place in Hollywood.

In his latest endeavor Grazer co-stars and plays Fraser, the rebellious 14-year-old out of the box ‘army brat’. A role he pretty much manifested after watching Call Me By Your Name back in 2017.

“I was so enamored and enthralled by that movie. I left the theater with my mom and I was like omg I wanna work with that director and she was like you’re gonna work with that director. And we just stood in the street and I was like ugh I wanna work with that director so bad. I don’t know if we were praying but we were definitely sending it.”

Taking place on an American Army base in Italy, We Are Who We Are is a drama series that follows a group of military kids as they come of age and explore their true identities. Directed by Call Me By Your Name’s Luca Guadagnino, it’s no surprise the show gives people similar vibes. They’ve even been comparing Grazer to Luca’s former muse Timothee Chalamet. That’s not surprising either considering Grazer actually played a younger version of Chalamet in the 2018 film Beautiful Boy.

Something that quickly stands out in We Are Who We Are the teens’ wardrobes, especially Fraser’s fashion choices. Some styles and brands that are featured and can be spotted include Palace, Comme des Garçons, and Raf Simons.

“Yeah it’s definitely since the show happened that I’ve become more adept at understanding fashion,” said Grazer who can be seen lately wearing dope outfits similar to his on-screen character. According to Grazer, Luca coordinated a call with fashion enthusiast Mike The Ruler for him to understand fashion better and he described fashion to Grazer as a subjective art form.

While fashion might’ve been a new-found love for Grazer, he’s actually been a skateboarding enthusiast for quite some time now. Recently he’s partnered up with the California Milk Processor Board, ‘Bones Love Milk’  and Feeding America® to help provide 250,000 meals to feeding programs throughout California this holiday season.

Jack is kicking-off this first #SkateToDonate challenge, by announcing that each “#SkateToDonate” post shared and engaged with on Instagram that mentions and tags @boneslovemilk through January 15, 2020, generates a $1 Feeding America donation from the California Milk Processor Board to help contribute meals towards the 250,000 meals goal.

Being born and raised in California and surrounded by skate culture this partnership seems like a no-brainer and what better way to use his quickly growing platform than to help others out especially during these difficult times.
