Exclusive: Interview with Sophie Rundle for ‘After The Flood’ Premiering on Britbox

Actress Sophie Rundle plays the character PC Joanna Marshall in ‘After the Flood.’ The Britbox show is a mystery thriller in a town hit by a drastic flood.

The show dives into the mystery of the death of an unidentified man who was found dead in an underground car parking lot. Police assume the victim became trapped as the waters rose but as the investigation unfolds Rundle’s character Joanna becomes obsessed with finding out what happened to the man in the lift and why.

“Even though she is flawed, I found her very appealing,” Rundle shared about her character Joanna Marshall.

As you follow Rundle’s character Joanna, you’ll notice the various conflicts she’s involved in with her work life and her personal life. Joanna Marshall’s determination is shown throughout to solve the murder mystery all while pregnant. Rundle is not only willing to take risks for her job in this series but also is willing to put her health on the line.

The series also takes a deep dive into the impact of climate change on the residents living in the small town. The floods in the town continuously expose the secrets of various characters causing possible trouble for their reputation. ‘After the Flood,’ will keep your curiosity going as you notice how far each character is willing to go to protect themselves. The series premiered on Britbox on May 13th with two episodes dropping each Monday until May 27th the finale.
