Exclusive: Ed Westwick & Louise Linton Talk ‘Me You Madness’ [Video]

Is Louise Linton’s Me, You, Madness destined to be a cult classic? We think so! It’s got everything we crave in guilty pleasure viewing… lust, a costume closet to die for, a playlist that Casey Kasem couldn’t resist, and a villain we fall in love with. Me, You, Madness is written, directed, and produced by Linton, all in her directorial debut!  Girl power!

If you’re an 80’s baby you will appreciate the homage to the glitz and glamour that is all things 80’s. Like, Totally. From spandex to stilettos, Me, You, Madness feels like you’ve walked through a time machine where excess is best. Greed is good. Money is great but power is even better.

Linton plays Catherine… she’s like Dexter except they know her name on Wall Street and at Neiman Marcus. She works hard but plays harder and her idea of playing is ridding the world of bad guys. Enter Tyler… played by Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl) …I probably didn’t have to write Gossip Girl there in parentheses… I just really wanted to. (I love Chuck Bass.)

Tyler is a carefree criminal who thinks he’s about to take advantage of Catherine after responding to a roommate ad. Plot twist, she secretly orchestrated their meeting to seek revenge after he scammed her grandmother. She plans on killing Tyler… if only love didn’t get in the way.

The movie is quirky and funny and the chemistry between Linton and Westwick is fab. Just watching the plethora of costume changes alone is an exciting experience, but there are some crucial physical fight scenes and… dare I say… choreographed musical numbers that rip you from reality right into Catherine’s cinematic conundrum. It is clear that Linton and Westwick let loose with these characters and sincerely had fun making the film.

Watch the two discuss their pre-filming bonding exercise (literally) and reveal their favorite Peloton instructor with The Knockturnal’s Kinsey Schofield in the video above. STXfilms’ Me, You, Madness premieres on demand February 12, 2021.

Kinsey Schofield is a contributor to The Knockturnal and you can follow her on TwitterInstagram, or Facebook.
