“Cherish the Day” stars Joy Bryant and Henry Simmons talk season 2 premiere of their show on OWN TV.
Cherish the Day is an anthology series that follows the relationship of one couple. In season two, the rekindling romance of Ellis Moran (Henry Simmons) and Sunday St. James (Joy Bryant) unveils. Once high school sweethearts went their separate ways, reunited again in New Orleans. Ellis plays a former basketball player who now works in the plumbing industry and is a single father of two. While Sunday works as a vegetarian celebrity chef on the ride of fame. Other members in the show are Richard Roundtree, who plays Mandeville “MV” St. James, father to Sunday and Terri J. Vaughn, who plays Ellis’ ex-wife and mother of their children.
Both Joy and Henry shared what they think viewers will resonate most when seeing old romances rekindled, describing their on-set chemistry when filming the series, and what they both love about Ellis and Sunday’s relationship.
