Exclusive: Barbara Hershey and more Talk Upcoming Film: The Manor

Last weekend, the Knockturnal sat down with the cast of The Manor to discuss their experience on the upcoming installment in the Welcome to the Blumhouse series.

Director Axelle Carolyn directs a horror that successfully blends metaphors with reality in perhaps the “artiest” horror film to be released in the “Welcome to the Blumhouse” series.

Barbara Hershey, known for her past horror roles (Insidious), comes back with another strong performance in The Manor, a film about a woman’s experience with dementia and how it’s affecting her.

After suffering a stroke, Judith Albright (Barbara Hershey) moves into a historic nursing home, where she begins to suspect something supernatural is preying on the residents. In order to escape she’ll need to convince everyone around her that she doesn’t actually belong there after all.

Barbara Hershey, as well as supporting actors Bruce Davidson and Nicholas Alexander share their experiences working on the film. Horror veterans Hershey and Davidson both shared what it was like to work on a more modern film as opposed to the old school horrors they previously starred in.

The Manor releases October 8, only on Amazon Prime Video.
