Exclusive: 3 Things We Learned From Michael Rainey Jr, Joey Bada$$, Joseph Sikora, and More From The Power 10th Anniversary Red Carpet

Starz recently marked a significant milestone with the 10th anniversary celebration of its powerhouse franchise, Power, coinciding with the premiere of the final season of Power Book II: Ghost.

As the red carpet rolled out for the momentous occasion, we seized the opportunity to catch up with the cast and delve into the behind-the-scenes dynamics of the show.

Amidst the glitz and glamour of the event, we gleaned fresh insights and exclusive details from the cast, offering fans an exciting glimpse into what lies ahead for the gripping series.

What did the Cast Learn From Being on the show?

Michael Rainey Jr. shared that over the course of his ten years on the show, he has learned to deeply appreciate life and value a healthy work environment. He emphasized the importance of recognizing and cherishing the family-like bonds formed in the workplace, as these experiences are invaluable and fleeting.

“It’s not going to last forever. So you just got to appreciate being able to be [comfortable with the people that you work with] every single day,” said Rainey Jr. “That’s one thing I definitely learned to do.”

Shane Johnson stated that the most important lesson he learned from his experience on the set is the value of getting along and being like a family. He emphasized the importance of finding your own place within the team without trying to be someone else. This sense of belonging and authenticity is something he definitely learned from the Power Franchise.

Johnson also shares his experience working with Method Man on Power Book II: Ghost.

“Honestly, working with Method Man was the best part of the last few years. He’s a good friend of mine, but he also brings so much to the show and he really is laying himself out there to do something, and to also change people’s minds about him as an actor, which I think he’s done because he’s really bringing it and I love playing with him,” said Johnson.

Alix Lapri shared that her experience on Power Book II: Ghost has prepared her for every possible scenario she might encounter on other shows. She has undergone weapon training, performed stunts, participated in intimate scenes, and delivered intense emotional performances, such as yelling and crying. Lapri feels confident that she is now prepared for any role that comes her way in the future.

Power Book IV: Force and Power Book III: Raising Kanan Filming Updates

According to Joey Bada$$, Raising Kanan’s fourth season just finished filming. Meanwhile, Joseph Sikora said that Force’s third season is still filming, demonstrating his constant dedication to the Power universe. After the Power 10th anniversary celebration, Sikora said he would go back to Chicago to continue filming.

“I have never been more proud of a season of television in my life than [any] show I’ve done,” said Sikora. “This season of Power Book IV: Force, the acting performances are dynamic. It’s unbelievable and you guys are going to love this season.”

Additionally, the completion of Raising Kanan’s fourth season and the ongoing production of Force’s third season assure fans that there is more compelling content to look forward to.
