Everything We Can Reveal About HACKS Season 4: PaleyFest LA 2025

On March 28th at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, PaleyFest LA premiered the first two episodes of HACKS Season 4, followed by a panel discussion featuring Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder, Rose Abdoo, Meg Stalter, Mark Indelicato, Carl Clemons Hopkins, and co-showrunners Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky.

While you’ll have to wait for the episodes to drop starting April 10 on Max for all the twists and turns of the new season, here’s what I can tell you so far:

Expect A Crazy Lineup of Season 4 Guest Stars

Einbinder teased that we can look forward to “an insane group of guest stars” this season. Personally, I’m manifesting AOC, Viola Davis, and Chappell Roan as guests on Deborah’s new late night show.

There Will Be an Episode Dedicated to Los Angeles

With Deborah having officially moved from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, season 4 will have the opportunity to showcase a lot of locations around LA. Creator and writer Jen Statsky mentioned that the show has historically filmed a lot of scenes in Altadena, which was devastated by the recent wildfires, and that they are thankful to get to show more of the city and include LA as a character this season.

Everyone Has Thought About Their Dream Spinoff

When asked about spinoff ideas for their characters, we got several iconic scenarios including Jimmy and Kayla moving to a farm for their own version of The Simple Life, Marcus traveling the world only to come back and end up with Wilson, and Josefina and Damien starting their own show on the home and garden channel.

We Should Expect the “Most Surprising Ending Yet”

Without giving anything away, Einbinder said that her “jaw was on the floor” when she read the script for the season 4 finale and that none of us could possibly be ready. In the world of HACKS, that could literally mean anything.

The Story May Continue Beyond Season 5

Paul W. Downs explained that the creators pitched the last scene of the show when they initially pitched the show, so there has always been a particular arc in mind of where the story is going, but that they are very open to “playing with the length of time that it takes to tell that story.” But don’t ask Smart or Einbinder, as they insist they know nothing.
