EFM Engineered For Motion Presents Autumn/Winter 2017 Runway Show

Designer Donrad Duncan debuted his Fall/Winter ’17 collection this season for Engineered for Motion at New York Fashion Week: Men’s at an impressive show featuring performer Young Paris.

This season, the collection was based around an active traveler, by focusing extensively on practicality. Duncan’s main focus was increased comfort and range of motion, while still including tailored classics such as suits and overcoats.

EFM prides itself on sophisticated design, applied technologies, and new textiles while keeping holding true the slogan “do more with less”. EFM has been collaborating with Trinovation Labs in Heifei, China, in order to produce textiles previously unheard of to realize their visions and achieve their mission in design and innovation.

Notable pieces included a faux shearling lined wool peacoat accompanied by a strappy leather shoulder bag, a minimal-esque leather envelope backpack, and finally Young Paris’s custom blue raincoat from the collection.

The collaboration was impeccable, as Young Paris worked closely with Donrad on the project, curated the soundtrack as well as performed his new single “Best of Me” following the final parade.

In attendance were many musicians, possibly in support of Young Paris’s recent signing to ROC Nation. J. Balvin, Fabolous, and Jillionaire were seen front row at the show. Also in front row attendance were actors Alex Sharp, Cory Michael Smith, Jake Lacy, and well known menswear icon Eric Rutherford.
