Edinger Apparel Presents SS16 Swimwear Collection

On Tuesday, July 14th, Edinger Apparel presented their SS16 swim wear collection.

Husband and wife designer duo, Erik Nelson and Emily Cummings, showed trunks in fun and relaxed West Coast prints. The collection was a juxtaposition of the east and west costs, both of which have very strong identities. The couple was inspired by both coasts after they took road trips to both sides of the country and later recalled their experience when designing the SS16 collection. The prints were definitely West Coast inspired, while the fit and colors were easy to wear anywhere. The collection was shown primarily in an ocean palette, using colors blue, white, and yellow. In addition to the swim trunks, the models were styled with simple t-shirts and hoodies. The designers used soft linens and pima cotton to ensure that even when out of the water, beach goers will remain cool. The over all collection was fun but relaxed and was inspired by the beach quite literally. The trunks were shown in blue and white florals and another in a wave pattern. It was a perfect balance, referenced the beach but mixed with basic solids like t-shirts, pants, and hoodies.
