Aiden Zhane:
The Knockturnal: What was being on this season of Drag Race like? What did you expect going into it?
Aiden Zhane: As much as I watched the show and watched every season, walking into it I tried to have no expectations. I didn’t want to think I knew what was going to happen. I just wanted to keep an open mind going in.
The Knockturnal: How was it different from other seasons?
Aiden Zhane: This season we have a really close cast. And this season is so diverse. Each and every one of us does something completely different.
The Knockturnal: What is something people don’t know about you that is maybe a little fun or quirky about you?
Aiden Zhane: I love to take naps. Every day. Naps. All the time. A girl just needs her beauty rest.
The Knockturnal: What’s your favorite lip-sync song to perform?
Aiden Zhane: “A Place in the Dirt” by Marilyn Manson.
The Knockturnal: And when you do your makeup, what’s your favorite part to do?
Aiden Zhane: I would have to say eyebrows. Because they are the hardest to get right.
Gigi Goode:
The Knockturnal: What was your impression going into season 12 and what surprised you about it?
Gigi Goode: I intentionally went into season 12 with zero expectations because I always, always, always hear that it is never what you expect it to be. It will never be what you think it’s going to be and I like the element of surprise.
The Knockturnal: And how did this season differ from other seasons?
Gigi Goode: This might sound biased but pretend that I’m not on the season when I say this. This is, I think, the best season of looks. And it is the best season of diversity. And the best season of entertaining queens.
The Knockturnal: What was your favorite part about being a part of season 12?
Gigi Goode: Wearing clothes! Wearing outfits! Didn’t enjoy the workroom because it’s fucking cold.
The Knockturnal: What was something about being on the show that you didn’t expect?
Gigi Goode: Letting myself being able to ask for help.
The Knockturnal: What is something weird of quirky about you that fans don’t know about you?
Gigi Goode: Well, here is the thing about me. I have literally nothing to hide. My nudes are going to be out on the internet any day now so I have nothing to hide. And I think that I have a lot of quirky things about me that everybody already knows about.
The Knockturnal: What is your favorite lip-sync song to perform to?
Gigi Goode: “Total Eclipse of the Heart”
Crystal Methyd:
The Knockturnal: What was it like being on season 12? What did you go in expecting and how was it different?
Crystal Methyd: Okay I am sure we all say this, but it literally is a race. You do so much every day. Day one I felt like I knew these girls for weeks. And by day two I was over it.
The Knockturnal: And how was it different than other seasons?
Crystal Methyd: I think that this season is different because we are all so diverse. And we all love drag and we do the drag we love. Andi think we just get along very well. And we appreciate and respect each other. And I have definitely learned a lot from my other sisters.
The Knockturnal: The word of the day is “diverse.” How was it so diverse?
Crystal Methyd: It kind of speaks for itself. Out of all the events we have done, none of us look anything alike. Except Rock looks like Kim Chi or whatever.
The Knockturnal: What’s your favorite lip-sync song to perform to?
Crystal Methyd: Okay, sometimes I like to do stupid little things and one of my favorite numbers is “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”
The Knockturnal: What’s something people don’t know about you that is weird or quirky? And please don’t say you love mustard-like Thorgy did because that’s disgusting.
Crystal Methyd: Ohmygod I am obsessed with mustard. I said I was an Eagle Scout in my Meet The Queens. But I used to be a gymnast but I am not anymore because I almost 30.
The Knockturnal: When you do your face, what’s your favorite part to do?
Crystal Methyd: I think the thing I work the most on are the eyes. The window to the hole or whatever. But, I really love the whole thing altogether. I start my face in cremes and then go from there.
