Donna Karan Hosts a Peaceful and Soothing Holiday party at Urban Zen

The chic store and stunning space supporting Donna Karan’s nonprofit was turned into an elegant, understated yet elaborate event venue for last night’s Christmas party.

The eclectic mix of attendees mingled, shopped and, between a glass of Veuve Clicquot and a hors d’oeuvre, got to try out a short session of integrative therapy program: born from a mix of restorative yoga, Reiki, aromatherapy, nutrition and contemplative care this project aims at changing the present healthcare paradigm, treating the patient and not just the disease. We tried a 5 minutes meditation and rebalancing session with essential oils and left our chairs feel lighter, more centered and at peace.

Fashion icon and humanitarian Donna Karan founded Urban Zen in 2007. Selling everything from handmade clothing to one of a kind jewelry pieces to globally sourced furniture this concept store goes beyond its role of dressing people and their lives, wanting to address them as well. A more meaningful way to shop and live, that’s what the brand is all about. After being interviewed and taking pictures with the beautiful models representing the brand, Donna Karan chatted with a few of the artists and creators whose pieces are sold in her store. To have a great new year and be well in every possible sense of the term is Urban Zen’s philosophy of living and caring.
