DFBK: Defend Brooklyn Shows Spring/Summer Collection At STYLE360

On September 11, 2018 Defend Brooklyn closed the second day of Style360 NYFW by flooding Metropolitan West with golden ticket recipients.

Brought to you from a Spike lee mentee and creative director of Defend Brooklyn, Alex Wright, the fashion show proved that his line is more than just fashion!
Bringing together textures, classic prints, and styles, rooted in the heart of Brooklyn the runway exuded positive vibes. Casual, laid back, and tough, this collection mixed, and matched denim, and durable fabric, with plaid, and animal prints.  The show opened with men’s denim jackets, and women’s denim/cropped jackets.
The second segment showcased denim button ups, and tees with “Love People Not Things,”  “Defend Brooklyn,” and “Spread Love” on them. Other pieces we loved were the “Spike Face” hoodies, shirt dresses, and sweatshirts paying tribute to filmmaking legend Spike Lee, cozy cow prints, cowl neck tops, and overalls. In addition to the clothes our favorite members of Hollywood such as actor Marc John Jefferies, covergirl/reggae singer Nefatari, sports illustrated model Alannah Beirne, and public figure Brett David made surprise appearances walking in the show!
This year’s line captured the grit, creativity, and love of the Defend Brooklyn brand. This season Alex Wright’s designs continued to send a message to spread love.
Sponsors of this year’s STYLE360 included Essentia Water, Embryolisse, Line 39, Not Your Mother’s, Skechers, Twinmedix, MedixBeauty, and The Row NYC.
